Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Limer Labs (“Limer Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit this website, contact us, or discuss a potential project with us.
Limer Labs is based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and operates internationally. For the activities described in this policy, Limer Labs is the organization responsible for deciding why and how personal information is processed.
It does not govern information processed on behalf of a client under a separate services agreement. In those situations, the client’s instructions and the applicable agreement determine how information is handled.
Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide: your name, email address, phone number (optional), selected service, project details (optional), and anything else included in messages or calls with us.
- Business information: your company, role, project requirements, budget or timing information, and records related to a potential or active engagement.
- Basic technical information: our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, and similar logs needed to deliver and protect the website.
- Verification signals: when you use the contact form, a security check from Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical signals such as your IP address and browser characteristics to confirm the submission comes from a person rather than an automated program.
When you submit the form, the details you entered are checked by our website and sent to us as an email through our email delivery provider, Brevo, with your email address set as the reply-to address. Submissions are not stored in a database on this website; they are kept in our email inbox and in Brevo’s delivery logs.
How we use information
We use personal information where reasonably necessary to:
- respond to enquiries and communicate about potential work;
- prepare proposals, estimates, and service agreements;
- deliver services and manage client relationships;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our website and systems;
- maintain business, tax, and accounting records;
- protect our rights, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Depending on the context and applicable law, we rely on steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, regular exercise of rights, or consent. We rely on legitimate interests to protect the contact form from spam and abuse. Our primary privacy framework is Brazil’s General Personal Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais, or “LGPD”), alongside other privacy laws that apply to a particular interaction.
International transfers
Because we are based in Brazil and operate internationally, information may be processed in Brazil, in the country where you are located, or in other countries where our service providers operate. For example, our hosting and security providers run global infrastructure, including in the United States, and our email delivery provider is based in the European Union.
Privacy and data-protection laws can differ between countries. Where required, we use contractual, organizational, or other legally recognized safeguards intended to protect personal information transferred across borders in line with the LGPD and other applicable requirements.
Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including to respond to an enquiry, maintain an active relationship, meet recordkeeping duties, or resolve disputes.
Contact form enquiries are kept in our email inbox for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting relationship. Brevo retains delivery logs for a limited period under its own retention practices. You can ask us to delete an enquiry at any time, subject to any legal obligation to keep it.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Under the LGPD, and depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to confirm whether we process your information, access or correct it, request anonymization, blocking, deletion, or portability, receive information about sharing, review certain automated decisions, and withdraw consent. If another privacy law applies to you, it may provide additional rights such as objecting to or restricting certain processing.
To make a request, email hello@limerlabs.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where required by law. You may also have the right to contact a data protection authority, such as Brazil’s Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD) or the authority where you live.
Children’s privacy
This website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our website, services, or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@limerlabs.com. The responsible organization is Limer Labs, based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
